This program is for players who have an interest in or already play on a high school tennis team and/or compete at USTA Level 6 and Level 5 tournaments. The program focuses on developing strong fundamental through rallies and games and places an emphasis on stroke mechanics, proper footwork and rally consistency. The goal is to become a more consistent tennis player by executing basic tennis tactics and strategies for singles and doubles play. Players are highly encouraged to participate at least two days per week and take weekly or bi-weekly private tennis lessons to get the most out of the program.
This program is designed for children age 12 and under who have begun to form solid fundamentals in their game. Racqueteers can swing, are able to serve and maintain rallies and keep score. The Racqueteers will focus on tennis technique fundamentals through competitive games while further developing athletic skills such as agility, balance, and coordination. Players should be committed to learning and focused on improving their game as well as playing eight tournaments per year. The goal is to have basic sound strokes on forehand, backhand, serve, volleys and overheads. Players must be able to execute all of the basic strokes with proper techniques and consistently rally 10 balls and serve from the baseline to complete the program. Players are highly encouraged to attend academy at least two days per week and take private tennis and fitness training lessons each week to get the most out of the program.
