JUNIOR ACADEMY PROGRAMS

Our Academy provides training six days a week for young people as well as weeklong summer camps.

Hot Shots (Ages 5-7)

For beginners 5-7 years old, this group will focus on having fun while practicing the basics such as tracking the ball, using proper strokes, and keeping score. The group meets once a week.

Future Aces (Ages 7-10)

Designed to introduce young players to the game of tennis, this program focuses on keeping the atmosphere fun and active all while working on basic tennis fundamentals while emphasizing agility, balance, coordination and racquet control.

The goal is to reach a proficiency level to rally, serve and play singles and doubles. Players are highly encouraged to participate two days per week to get the most out of the program.

Racqueteers (Ages 8-12)

This program is designed for children age 12 and under who have begun to form solid fundamentals in their game. Racqueteers can swing, are able to serve and maintain rallies and keep score.

This program will focus on tennis technique fundamentals through competitive games while further developing athletic skills such as agility, balance and coordination. Players should be committed to learning and focused on improving their game as well as playing eight tournaments per year. The goal is to have basic sound strokes on forehand, backhand, serve, volleys and overheads. Players are highly encouraged to attend academy at least two days per week and take private tennis and fitness training lessons each week to get the most out of the program.

Junior Development (Ages 12-18)

This program is for players who have an interest in or already play on a high school tennis team and/or compete at USTA Level 4, 5, and 6 tournaments. The focus is on developing strong fundamentals through rallies and games.

The program places an emphasis on stroke mechanics, proper footwork and rally consistency. The goal is to become a more consistent tennis player by executing basic tennis tactics and strategies for singles and doubles play. Players are highly encouraged to attend academy at least two days per week and take private tennis and fitness training lessons each week to get the most out of the program.

All Stars (Ages 10-18) Tryout Required

This program aims for personal excellence in all aspects of tennis (physical, technical, tactical and mental) to consistently play at a high level of tennis. Practices offer an intense combination of dead and live ball drills with emphasis on match play.

These players compete at USTA sectional, southern, national and international tournaments. Players at this level seek to reach a level commensurate with playing in college or professionally. The fitness component of this program focuses on core strength, speed & agility, and endurance. Players are highly encouraged to attend academy at least three days per week and take private tennis and fitness training lessons each week to get the most out of the program. Full-time All Stars (attend 3x week or more) also receive quarterly goal setting and local tournament coaching.
